About

Award-Winning Acoustic Vocalist | Devon, Cornwall & the South West

Based in Plymouth and performing right across the South West, I am a professional singer and guitarist specialising in weddings, corporate events, private parties, bars, hotels, restaurants, and festivals. Having fronted national touring shows and performed on major stages for over 15 years, I bring a level of reliability and musical professionalism that only comes from thousands of hours under stage lights.

The Acoustic Performance

My acoustic sets are designed for settings that require a perfect balance of presence and restraint. Unlike standard background music, I bring the energy and engagement of a seasoned lead vocalist to an unplugged, intimate setting. Whether you need a soulful, understated soundtrack for a wedding ceremony or an upbeat, high-energy arrangement to get a crowd moving, I specialise in reading the room and shifting fluidly to match the exact vibe of your event.

Every event has a different energy, and I tailor my live performance to fit your schedule seamlessly. I provide premium live music for:

  • Weddings: From romantic, acoustic aisle walks and relaxed drinks receptions to upbeat evening transitions.

  • Corporate Events & Parties: High-end, professional entertainment tailored to match your brand profile or private celebration.

  • Festivals & Public Venues: Engaging, main-stage quality acoustic performances designed to draw and hold a crowd at public events, luxury hotels, and busy weekend bars.

Contemporary Repertoire & Musical Style

My live sets are built on a deep, curated selection of contemporary acoustic cover versions designed to connect with diverse audiences. Rather than sticking to standard traditional tracking, I deliver fresh, high-energy acoustic interpretations across multiple genres.

From the driving hooks of modern indie and classic rock to the smooth, rhythmic grooves of pop and neo-soul, every song is re-imagined for a solo acoustic guitar and vocal setup. This expansive repertoire allows me to seamlessly transition from relaxed, daytime lounge music to a driving, footnote-heavy evening set that keeps guests completely engaged.

Professional Production Value

I operate as a fully self-contained unit, taking complete responsibility for the technical and musical success of your booking. My production-first mindset ensures:

  • High-End Sound: Professional-grade digital sound reinforcement precisely tailored to your venue's size and acoustics, ensuring pristine clarity at any volume level.

  • Atmospheric Lighting: Bespoke, compact stage lighting to subtly enhance the performance space and complement your venue's natural aesthetic.

  • Zero Stress: A clean, tidy setup with seamless, reliable management from the initial load-in to the final song of the night.

Frequently asked questions

How Far Do You Travel?

Honestly? Anywhere in the world. While I am based in Plymouth and mostly perform across Devon and Cornwall, I regularly travel throughout Somerset, Dorset, and the wider South West for events. Because I frequently tour with various acts across the UK and perform internationally, managing travel logistics is second nature. No matter where your event is, I can make it happen.

Do you provide your own sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, I am completely self-contained. I supply a high-end, compact digital PA system that delivers pristine vocal clarity and rich acoustic guitar tones tailored precisely to your venue's size. I also bring subtle, atmospheric stage lighting to enhance the performance space, meaning you don't have to hire a single piece of external gear.

Can you play outside for drinks receptions or terrace sets?

Absolutely. As long as there is a flat, safe performance space and access to a reliable power supply, I love performing outside. An acoustic guitar and vocal set is the perfect match for summer terrace slots, outdoor drinks receptions, and festival stages across the South West.

Can I choose the songs for my event setlist or pick our favourite tracks?

Yes, of course! With a performing catalog that spans thousands of tracks, my live sets are entirely fluid and tailored to the crowd in real time. While I don't recommend picking every single song in sequence, as reading the room live always gets the best response—you are more than welcome to tell me your absolute favourites from my repertoire list, as well as any songs you definitely want left out.

Will you learn a specific song request for my booking?

Yes, absolutely. For private parties, corporate events, and weddings, I am happy to learn a specific song request for a key moment, such as your walk down the aisle or a tailored corporate sting. Just let me know what track you have in mind when we discuss your booking details.

How much space do you need to set up?

Because I use a streamlined, high-quality solo digital rig, my footprint is incredibly compact. I only need an area of roughly 2m x 2m and access to a standard power socket. This makes my setup perfect for everything from intimate hotel lounges and busy bars to grand event rooms.

How much does it cost?

My pricing starts from £250 for standard solo acoustic performances. Most average bookings typically fall within the £350 to £450 range, but can scale upwards of £700 to £800 depending on the specific event scope, duration, upgraded equipment production, or package tiers.

How long do you play for during an event?

It completely depends on your specific booking and schedule! A standard live performance usually consists of between 60 to 120 minutes of live music, which can be split into tailored sets (such as two 45-minute sets or two 60-minute sets) to fit seamlessly around your venue timings, buffet, or speeches.

Do I need to provide a stage for the performance?

A raised stage is a nice visual option, but it is definitely not required. My compact digital setup adapts perfectly to flat floor spaces, alcoves, and performance corners. However, if your venue requires one, I have direct access to professional-grade compact staging at an excellent hire rate, so please mention this when getting in touch if you would like me to check availability and build it into your quote.

Do we need to provide food and refreshments?

For most short public pub, bar, or restaurant gigs, providing food is not expected. However, for longer private bookings, corporate evening events, and full-day weddings where the total time on-site spans several hours including travel, setup, and performance, hot food and soft drinks are incredibly appreciated and help keep the energy high!
